Jeanna Kadlec is the founder of Bluestockings Boutique, the first lingerie boutique in the United States that is explicitly geared to the LGBTQ community. As a queer-identified cis-lady who grew up going to church potlocks in small towns, Jeanna believes in the power of community and in the radical things that can happen when people dare to make a space their own.
Jeanna is passionate about helping other people figure out how to create and cultivate their own space: on their blogs, on their social, in their business branding. She takes on occasional consulting projects for small businesses and specializes in social media and LGBTQIA+ issues.
She also writes – a lot. The Bluestockings Blog has been featured on the websites of ABC News, The Guardian, Lucky Magazine, Nylon, Racked, Bustle, and more. Jeanna has written for Design*Sponge, Ladypreneur League, Feminist Wednesday, The Lingerie Addict, and Qwear. She has a Masters in English from Brandeis University, and she has a Bachelor of Arts in English, Politics, and Women’s Studies from Cornell College, where she graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
